Ingredients
- 5 oz Sirloin steaks sliced very thin
- 2 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup Red onion sliced
- 1/2 cup Red bell pepper use red and green peppers if desired
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger minced
- 1/4 cup Beef broth
- 2 tbsp Reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Scallions chopped, plus more for garnish
- 2 slices Crusty bread toasted
Instructions
- Season the steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat a nonstick pan on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the oil. Saute the onions and peppers until they start to soften. Add in the garlic and ginger. Saute until very fragrant. Move the contents of the pan to one side and add in the beef, cook until nicely browned. Then stir everything together.
- Stir in the broth, soy sauce, tomato paste, and scallions. Bring to a simmer until the liquid thickens to a creamy consistency and flavor concentrates.
- Serve with bread. Garnish with scallions.
