Ingredients
- 3 cups Vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1 Egg
- 1 Avocado pitted and quartered lenghtwise
Instructions
- Heat the oil to 325 degrees in a saucepan or pot.
- In a bowl mix together the cornstarch, flour, and baking powder. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in the egg. Add a tablespoon of water at a time until a thick batter forms.
- Gently dip the avocado quarters into the batter then fry in the oil until golden brown on all sides. Remove to paper towels and season with salt right away.
- Serve right away, cut in half lengthwise if desired.
