Ingredients
French Dip
- 10 oz Shaved steak
- 1/4 tsp Salt plus more to taste
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper plus more to taste
- 1 TBSP Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup Onion sliced thin
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1/4 tsp Fresh rosemary
- 2 TBSP Butter
- 2 Long rolls lightly toasted
- 2 oz Potato chips
- 2 Pickle spears
Homemade Lemonade
- 1 cup Lemon juice Fresh squeezed
- 16 oz Water
- 2 TBSP Sugar use to taste
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients per the instructions above.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a pot on medium heat. Saute the onions until softened and starting to brown. Then stir in the broth, beef, and rosemary. Bring to a low simmer until the flavor concentrates, about 15 to 20 minutes. Then add in the butter. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven broiler on low. Slice open the rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Toast the bread under the broiler until golden brown (keep a close eye on the bread so that it doesn't burn).
- Using tongs or a slotted spoon, place the beef on the roll.
- Mix together the ingredients for the homemade lemonade.
- Serve the sandwich with a side of au jus for dipping. Enjoy with chips, pickles, and lemonade.
