Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Steak seasoning Montreal steak seasoning or equivalent
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz Crumbled blue cheese or your choice of cheese
  • 4 Hamburger buns toasted
  • 8 leaves Lettuce iceberg or romaine
  • 8 slices Tomato
  • 1/4 Red onion sliced
  • 4 Pickles halved

Instructions

  • Preheat grill or grill pan on medium heat.
  • Mix together the ground beef, steak seasoning, and worchestershire sauce, season generously salt and pepper and form into patties. Grill burgers to desired doneness (see below) using a thermometer. When the burger is 3/4 of the way cooked to your liking add the cheese to the top to melt.
  • Toast the buns on the grill or in a 350-degree oven until golden brown. Place the burger on the bun with lettuce, tomato, and onions. Serve with pickles and ketchup or your choice of condiments.

Notes

Steak Internal Temperatures:
  • Rare: 115 - 120 degrees F
  • Medium Rare: 125 - 130 degrees F
  • Medium: 135 - 140 degrees F
  • Medium Well: 145 - 150 degrees F
  • Well Done: 160 degrees F
