Ingredients

Banana Pancakes

  • 2 Banana half sliced for topping
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 TBSP Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 TBSP Butter or oil for cooking
  • Maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the half the banana until smooth.
  • In the same bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and egg.
  • Stir the mixture until well combined and there are no large lumps. The batter should be smooth but slightly thick.
  • Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil to coat the surface.
  • Once the skillet is hot, pour a ladleful of pancake batter onto the skillet, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
  • Cook the pancakes for 2-3 minutes on one side, or until bubbles form on the surface.
  • Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed.
  • Serve the banana pancakes warm, top with sliced banana and drizzled with maple syrup or honey if desired and a glass of milk.
