Ingredients
- 6 oz Chicken sausage links
- 1 cup Oatmeal
- 1 Apples peeled and diced small
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 2 Everything bagel halved and toasted (or your choice of bagel)
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
Vegetable Cream Cheese
- 6 Baby carrots
- 1/4 cup Celery roughly chopped
- 2 tbsp Scallions roughly chopped
- 1 clove Garlic
- 6 tbsp Whipped cream cheese or substitute store bought Roasted Garlic Vegetable Cream Cheese
Instructions
- For the chicken sausage: If raw, cook in a 400°F oven to an internal temperature of 160°F using a thermometer. If already cooked: Place in a 400 degree oven until warmed through or slice and brown in a nonstick pan on medium heat.Place the garlic clove on the same pan in the oven to get it nicely browned.
- In a pot, add the oatmeal, apples, brown sugar, maple syrup, and recommended amount of water on the packaging. Cook the oatmeal according to the directions on the package.
- For the cream cheese: add the carrot, celery, scallions, and garlic clove to a blender or food processor. Pulse until finely chopped. Then fold together in a bowl with cream cheese.
- Toast the bagel and spread the cream cheese on.
- Sprinkle the oatmeal with cinnamon, serve with the bagel, and chicken sausage.
