Ingredients
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 1 TBSP Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp Reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 TBSP Hot sauce
- 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
- 10 oz Chicken breast boneless skinless
- 2 Soft rolls lightly toasted
- 2 oz Potato chips
- 2 Pickle spears
Lemon Spritzer
- 6 slices Lemon
- 16 oz Sparkling water cold
Instructions
- In a pot over medium heat, whisk together the broth, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, paprika, hot sauce, and vinegar. Add the chicken and cover with a lid. Bring to a simmer (adjust the heat accordingly) until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees using a thermometer. Then remove the chicken. Continue simmering the sauce without a lid.
- Using 2 forks pull the chicken apart into shreds. Then place back into the pot and continue to simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Lightly toast the rolls.
- Combine the lemon slices and sparkling water. Serve over ice if desired.
- Portion the chicken onto the buns, serve with chips, pickle, and lemon spritzer.
