Spiced Apples & Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples peeled and sliced, core removed
  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a non-stick pan or small skillet. Add in the apples, brown sugar, salt, lemon juice and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer and cook until the apples start to soften and the liquid is a deep golden brown (about 10 to 15 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In the meantime, whisk the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla by hand or using an electric mixer until the cream becomes firm.
  • Spoon the cream over the apples to serve.
