In a 12-inch skillet, cook the sausage, green pepper, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned; drain off fat.
Transfer the meat mixture to a slow cooker.
Stir in the fire-roasted diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, balsamic vinegar, crushed red pepper, and salt.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
Optional: Toast the rolls in the oven.
Fill the toasted rolls with the meat mixture and top with shredded provolone cheese.
Mix all of the ingredients for the homemade lemonade. Serve over ice if desired.
