Mix together olive oil and pressed garlic. Brush the pita with oil & garlic mixture. Place the pita in the oven on a baking sheet for 3 minutes.
Remove from the oven and place basil, tomatoes, salami, and cheese on top of the pita. Place back underneath the broiler until the cheese is melted, about 3 - 5 minutes. Watch it closely, if it starts getting too dark remove it from the oven immediately.
