In a nonstick pan melt the butter. Add in the peaches, brown sugar, salt, cardamom, and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer and cook until the peaches start to soften and the liquid is a deep golden brown. Remove from heat and place into ramekins or a small baking vessel.
Place the topping ingredients in a bowl. Mix until clumps form, like wet sand. Spread evenly over the peaches.
Bake in the oven until the topping is a dark golden brown. Remove and set aside to cool for about 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
