Prep all ingredients per instructions above. If the lobster tails are not already cooked, steam or boil them until the meat is opaque and firm. Remove the meat from the shells and chop it into bite-sized pieces.

In a bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the lobster meat evenly with the dressing.

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Brush the inside surfaces of the New England-style hot dog buns with melted butter.

Toast the buns in the skillet or griddle until they are golden brown on both sides.

Line each toasted bun with lettuce leaves. Divide the lobster mixture equally between the buns, filling them generously.
