In a bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the lobster meat evenly with the dressing.
Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Brush the inside surfaces of the New England-style hot dog buns with melted butter.
Toast the buns in the skillet or griddle until they are golden brown on both sides.
