Beef Egg And Cheese Breakfast Sandwich, Cherries, Pineapple, Coffee

Ingredients

Smash Beef Breakfast Sandwich

  • 6 oz Ground beef grass-fed recommended
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste, optional
  • Onion powder to taste, optional
  • Smoked paprika to taste, optional
  • 1 tsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups Baby spinach
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices Sourdough bread

Fresh Pineapple and Cherries

  • 1 cup Cherries pitted if desired
  • 1 cup Pineapple cut into chunks

Coffee

  • Coffee brewed using your preferred method
  • Creamer optional
  • Sweetener optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients as instructed above.
  • Lightly season ground beef with salt, pepper, and optional spices. Portion into piles.
  • Toast bread slices in a toaster or in a dry pan until golden. Set aside.
  • Heat half of the oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add spinach and sauté until wilted (1–2 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  • Increase heat to medium-high and add remaining oil. Place beef piles in the pan and smash thin with a spatula. Cook 2–3 minutes until browned and crispy, then flip.
  • Immediately place a slice of cheddar on each patty after flipping. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until melted and patties are cooked through.
  • In the same pan (lower heat to medium-low), crack eggs. Cook until whites are set but yolks remain runny. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Assemble sandwiches: Layer the bread with smash beef patty, sautéed spinach, eggs, and top slice of bread. Cut in half if preferred.
  • Brew and prepare the coffee to your liking.
  • Serve sandwiches with cherries and pineapple and coffee.
