Ingredients

Orange Juice

  • 10 - 12 Oranges refrigerated so they're cold. (About 5 to 6 oranges yield an 8oz glass of OJ).

Oatmeal

  • 1 Apple cored peeled and diced
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 TBSP Honey
  • 1/4 cup Milk

Instructions

  • Cut the oranges in half. Using a manual juicer or electric juicer, juice the oranges into a pitcher or glass. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Prep the apples.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal is thick and creamy.
  • Add the diced apple and honey to the oatmeal and stir well to combine. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, or until the apple is soft and tender. Remove from the heat and stir in the milk.
  • Portion the oatmeal into bowls. Serve with orange juice.
