Heat a pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef, bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Brown the beef while breaking it up into smaller pieces.
Add the tomatoes, broth, thyme, and oregano, and season well with salt. Cover with a lid and bring to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. Once tender, drain well. Mix it in with the beef.
Toast the bread then spread with butter and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the chop suey with garlic bread and kombucha.
