Ingredients

  • Nonstick spray
  • 2 tsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Turkey broth (sub chicken broth if needed) if you have any leftover turkey or chicken gravy use instead
  • 1/2 tsp Kitchen Bouquet Browning and Seasoning Sauce sub any comparable gravy seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Poultry seasoning
  • 8 oz Deli turkey breast sliced thin (or use fresh roasted sliced turkey breast (remove skin), see deli meats tab)
  • 8 slices Sourdough bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese halved
  • 2 oz Potato chips
  • 4 Pickle spears

Instructions

  • Preheat a panini style grill. Lightly grease with nonstick spray.
  • Heat a saute pan on medium heat. Add the oil and flour. Stir until fully combined and golden brown Then stir in the broth, kitchen bouquet, and poultry seasoning. Bring to a simmer (turn the heat down to medium low if needed) until the broth reduces and thickens to a smooth consistency and concentrates in flavor. Add the turkey in and simmer for a few minutes so the turkey soaks in the flavor, then remove with a slotted spoon and place on the bread. Continue simmering the liquid on low.
  • Layer the bread with cheese and turkey.
  • Place the sandwich on the panini style grill and cook until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  • Cut the sandwich in half, serve with chips, pickle, and gravy for dipping on the side.
