Ingredients
Waffles
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Allspice ground
- 2 Tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 cup Pumpkin puree
- 1 cup Milk may not need it all
- 6 oz Chicken sausage links sliced
- 1 cup Blueberries (Check the Fruit guide to substitute seasonal fruits)
Cream Cheese Syrup
- 4 tbsp Whipped cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
- 6 Tbsp Milk
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle maker according to its instructions.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and brown sugar in a bowl. Stir in the pumpkin until combined. Slowly add the milk a little at a time until a smooth batter forms (may not need all the milk).
- Add the batter to the waffle maker and cook according to the waffle maker instructions.
- In the meantime, in a bowl, whisk the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk together until smooth then set aside.
- In a non-stick pan brown the chicken sausage on both sides.
- Drizzle the cream cheese syrup over the waffle, serve with chicken sausage and blueberries.
