Pumpkin Waffles

Ingredients

Waffles

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice ground
  • 2 Tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup Milk may not need it all
  • 6 oz Chicken sausage links sliced
  • 1 cup Blueberries (Check the Fruit guide to substitute seasonal fruits)

Cream Cheese Syrup

  • 4 tbsp Whipped cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 6 Tbsp Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat a waffle maker according to its instructions.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and brown sugar in a bowl. Stir in the pumpkin until combined. Slowly add the milk a little at a time until a smooth batter forms (may not need all the milk).
  • Add the batter to the waffle maker and cook according to the waffle maker instructions.
  • In the meantime, in a bowl, whisk the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk together until smooth then set aside.
  • In a non-stick pan brown the chicken sausage on both sides.
  • Drizzle the cream cheese syrup over the waffle, serve with chicken sausage and blueberries.
