Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Cornmeal
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 cup Milk you may not use all of it
- 2 cup Canola oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat oil to 350°F in a pot or saucepan.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Add the milk to the dry mix a little at a time while mixing, adding more as needed to create a dough that is moist and sticky but not runny.
- Using a tablespoon, drop the mixture into the hot oil. Cook 3-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, turning once during cook time.
- Place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
