Ingredients
For the Onion Rings:
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black pepper
- 1 Onion large, sliced into rings
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 3 cups Canola oil for frying
For the Cheeseburger:
- 8 oz Ground beef
- ½ TBSP Steak seasoning
- ½ TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- 2 slices American cheese (or your choice of cheese)
- Your favorite condiments (mustard, mayo, ketchup)
- 2 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
- 4 leaves Butter lettuce
- 4 slices Tomato
- 2 slices Red onion sliced thin
For the Cola:
- 24 oz Coca-Cola or other cola of choice, cold
Instructions
Prep the Onion Rings:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip the onion rings into the buttermilk and then coat them with the seasoned flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the coated onion rings in batches until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Prep the Cheeseburger:
- Mix together the ground beef, steak seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into even patties.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Add the patties to the grill and cook on both sides, achieving the desired doneness using a thermometer. When the burger is ¾ of the way cooked to your liking, add the cheese and cook until melted.
Assemble the Burger:
- Spread your favorite condiments on the inside of the bun.
- Place the patty on the bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion.
Serve: Enjoy your cheeseburger with onion rings and a cold cola.
