Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Fresh chives chopped
- 1 tbsp Fresh thyme chopped
- 1 clove Garlic grated
- 2 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 lb Sirloin steaks
- 3 cloves Garlic cut into chunks
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped
- 1/4 loaf Crusty bread sliced
Instructions
- Soften the butter by placing it in the microwave for 5 - 10 seconds. (you dont want to melt the butter, just soften)
- When the butter is soft mix in the chives, thyme, and the grated garlic well. Season wtih salt and pepper and place it in the refrigerator until you are ready to use.
- Heat the olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
- Add the steak and garlic into the pan. You want to make sure you get a good sear on both sides of the steak until they're golden brown. Cook the steak to your desired temperature using a thermometer. (See below)
- Remove from the heat and rest for 3 minutes before slicing against the grain. Garnish with parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place a spoon of the herb butter over the top of the sliced steak and serve with crusty bread.
