Ingredients
Sausage:
- 4 Breakfast sausage links
French Toast:
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
- 4 slices Texas toast or thick bread (such as brioche or challah)
- 2 TBSP Butter
- ⅓ cup Maple syrup
- 2 TBSP Powdered sugar
Orange Juice:
- 16 oz Orange juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
- Cook the sausages on a baking sheet according to the package instructions until they are browned and cooked through.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated evenly. Allow excess batter to drip off.
- In a large skillet, melt half thef butter over medium heat.
- Place the soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Place the French toast and sausages on a plate.
- Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve the French toast and sausages with a glass of orange juice.
