Ingredients

Sausage:

  • 4 Breakfast sausage links

French Toast:

  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 4 slices Texas toast or thick bread (such as brioche or challah)
  • 2 TBSP Butter
  • cup Maple syrup
  • 2 TBSP Powdered sugar

Orange Juice:

  • 16 oz Orange juice

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Cook the sausages on a baking sheet according to the package instructions until they are browned and cooked through.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated evenly. Allow excess batter to drip off.
  • In a large skillet, melt half thef butter over medium heat.
  • Place the soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Place the French toast and sausages on a plate.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
  • Serve the French toast and sausages with a glass of orange juice.
