Ingredients
- 1 Egg beaten
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 4 slices Texas toast or bread of your choice cut 3/4 inch thick
- 2 Tbsp Butter to grease the pan
- 2 Tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 Orange peeled and sctioned (Check the Fruit guide to substitute seasonal fruits)
Instructions
- Preheat a nonstick pan or griddle on medium heat.
- Whisk the egg, vanilla, cream, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Add a pinch of salt. Dip the bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly until the slices are moistened but not soggy. Lightly grease the pan with butter as needed. Cook bread slices until golden brown on both sides.
- Drizzle the french toast with syrup. Serve with orange.
