Ingredients

Salad

Dressing:

  • 2 TBSP Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar

Pizza Parlor Salad:

  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1/2 Tomato into wedges
  • 1/4 cup Red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Black olives pitted
  • 2 TBSP Banana peppers sliced

Pizza

  • 1/2 loaf French bread cut into 6 inch sections per portion then sliced in half horizontally
  • Extra-virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce
  • 1 - 1.5 cups Mozzarella cheese shredded, use amount needed for good coverage
  • 10 to 15 slices Pepperoni use as needed
  • 1/4 tsp Dried oregano

Sparkling Water

  • 24 oz Sparkling water cold

Instructions

  • Prep the ingredients per the instructions above.
  • Make the salad: Add the romaine lettuce to a large bowl. Top with tomatoes, red onion, black olives, and banana peppers.
  • Make the vinaigrette: whisk the oil, vinegar, oregano, Italian seasoning, sugar, and some salt and pepper in a bowl until fully combined. Set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Prep the ingredients per the instructions above.
  • Place the baguette onto a baking sheet and drizzle with oil. Lightly toast the bread to golden brown. Then remove from the oven.
  • Spread a layer of sauce as needed onto the bread, covering it well. Evenly distribute the cheese and pepperoni over top. Sprinkle with oregano.
  • Place on a foiled-lined baking sheet and cook in the oven until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Dress the salad.
  • Serve the pizza bread with salad and sparkling water.
