Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chickpeas drained
  • 2 tbsp Red onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic chopped
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil or more if needed

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients (except for the oil) in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Form the mixture into small even sized patties.
  • Heat the oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  • Set on paper towels to drain before serving.
