Ingredients
- 3/4 pound Ground beef
- 1 packet Taco seasoning or make your own (below)
- 6 oz Mexican cheese blend Shredded
- 8 Taco shells
- 1 cup Romaine lettuce shredded
- 1/2 cup Tomato diced
- 4 tsp Sour cream
Instructions
- In a non-stick pan over medium heat, brown the beef, using a spatula to break it up into smaller pieces. Once the beef is partially browned, add the taco seasoning and a 1/4 cup of water and bring to a simmer until most of the water evaporates. Then stir in half of the cheese. Remove from heat.
- Meanwhile, warm the taco shells as directed on the package.
- Spoon the ground beef into the taco shells, top with lettuce, tomatoes and remaining cheese. Serve with sour cream.
Notes
Make your own Taco Seasoning - Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
