Crunchy Tacos

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound Ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning or make your own (below)
  • 6 oz Mexican cheese blend Shredded
  • 8 Taco shells
  • 1 cup Romaine lettuce shredded
  • 1/2 cup Tomato diced
  • 4 tsp Sour cream

Instructions

  • In a non-stick pan over medium heat, brown the beef, using a spatula to break it up into smaller pieces. Once the beef is partially browned, add the taco seasoning and a 1/4 cup of water and bring to a simmer until most of the water evaporates. Then stir in half of the cheese. Remove from heat.
  • Meanwhile, warm the taco shells as directed on the package.
  • Spoon the ground beef into the taco shells, top with lettuce, tomatoes and remaining cheese. Serve with sour cream.

Notes

Make your own Taco Seasoning - Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
