Ingredients
Creamy Vanilla Porridge
- 1 cup Rolled oats
- 1 ½ cups Milk
- ½ cup Heavy cream or half-n-half
- ½ Vanilla bean split - seeds scraped
- 1 Apple peeled and cut into thin wedges
- 1 TBSP Brown sugar
- 1 TBSP Honey
Coffee
- Coffee
- Your choice of sweetener
- Your choice of creamer
Instructions
- Place oats, milk, heavy cream, and vanilla pod and seeds in a saucepan over low-medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the oats are tender and the mixture is thick and creamy (you can add a little more milk if it becomes too thick).
- For the brown sugar apples, place the apples, sugar, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until the apples are tender, golden, and sticky.
- While the apples finish cooking, brew and prepare the coffee to your liking.
- Pour the porridge into a bowl, top with apples, and drizzle with some of the honey syrup. Serve with coffee.
