Ingredients

Chop Cheese

  • 1 tsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ Onion sliced
  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • ½ tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • ½ tsp Black pepper adjust to taste
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder adjust to taste
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Sub rolls
  • 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Ketchup
  • 4 leaves Romaine lettuce
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into 3 inch-long sticks
  • 1/2 cup Ranch dressing

Lemon Sparkling Water

  • 24 oz Sparkling water
  • 1 Lemon sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • * Optional: preheat the oven to 350F. Warm the rolls on a baking sheet about 3 - 5 minutes to lightly toast.
  • * Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of oil. Sauté the onion until translucent.
  • * Add ground beef into the skillet, chopping it up into smaller pieces until no longer pink. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • * Lower the heat to medium low. Add the cheese slices over the chopped beef mixture and allow to melt mixing everything together until combined.
  • * Spread mayonnaise and ketchup inside the rolls.
  • * Layer the rolls with lettuce, tomato, and beef mixture. Cut in half if preferred.
  • * Mix sparkling water with lemon slices.
  • * Serve with carrot sticks, ranch dressing, and sparkling lemon water.
