Ingredients
- 5 oz Ground beef
- 1/4 tbsp Steak seasoning Montreal steak seasoning or equivalent
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 slices Monterey jack cheese or your choice of cheese
- 2 Hamburger buns toasted
- 4 leaves Lettuce iceberg or romaine
- 4 slices Tomato
- 2 Pickle spears
- 1 oz Potato chips
- Ketchup or your choice of condiments
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Preheat the oven broiler on low.
- Mix together the ground beef, steak seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Season generously with salt and pepper, and form into patties. Cook burgers to desired doneness (see below) using a thermometer. When the burger is 3/4 of the way cooked to your liking, add the cheese and place under the oven broiler to melt.
- Toast the buns. Place the burger on the bun with lettuce and tomato. Serve with pickles, chips and ketchup or your choice of condiments.

Internal Temperatures:
- Rare: 115 - 120 degrees F
- Medium Rare: 125 - 130 degrees F
- Medium: 135 - 140 degrees F
- Medium Well: 145 - 150 degrees F
- Well Done: 160 degrees F
