Ingredients

Iced Salted Honey Latte:

  • 1 cup Coffee espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup Milk (of your choice)
  • 2 TBSP Honey
  • ¼ tsp Sea salt
  • Ice cubes

Apple Cinnamon Waffles

  • 1 Apple peeled and grated
  • 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 TBSP Granulated sugar
  • 1 TBSP Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 ¼ cups Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ cup Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Nonstick spray for waffle iron

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Brew the coffee or espresso and allow it to cool. You can refrigerate it to speed up the cooling process.
  • Peel and grate the apple. Set it aside.
  • For the apple cinnamon waffles, in a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the grated apple.
  • Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or melted butter.
  • Pour the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cook until the waffles are golden and crispy.
  • Once cooked, transfer the waffles to a plate and keep them warm while preparing the latte.
  • For the iced salted honey latte, in a mixing jug or bowl, combine the cooled brewed coffee or espresso, milk or cream, honey, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to dissolve the honey.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the coffee mixture over the ice cubes in the glasses.
  • Serve the warm apple cinnamon waffles alongside the salted honey iced latte.
