Ingredients
Honey Butter
- 2 TBSP Butter softened at room temp
- 2 TBSP Honey
Apple, Arugula And Brie Panini
- 4 slices Sourdough bread (or any crusty French bread)
- 3 oz Brie cheese rind removed and cut into thin slices
- 1 Granny Smith Apples cored and sliced
- 1 cup Arugula
Cheese and Crackers
- 12 Crackers
- 12 slices Your favorite block cheese example: pepper jack cheddar gruyère etc.
Riesling
- 8 oz Riesling chilled
Instructions
- Make the honey butter by whisking the butter and honey until smooth. Reserve.
- Heat your panini press (or a grill pan or skillet).
- Spread the butter on one side of each slice of bread. Then, layer the brie on top of the butter followed by apple slices. Top one side of each sandwich with arugula.
- Fold the sandwiches together and butter the outsides.
- Add sandwiches to panini maker and press for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. If you don't have a panini press, you can make these sandwiches in a nonstick skillet or grill pan. Place another heavy pan on top of the sandwich while cooking if desired to get a panini press effect.
- Serve apple arugula brie panini with honey butter, cheese and crackers, and riesling.
