Ingredients

Homemade Lemonade

  • 16 oz Water
  • 1-2 TBSP Lavender flowers
  • 1/2 cup Lemon juice fresh squeezed
  • 2 TBSP Honey or Sugar use to taste
  • Ice cubes

Sandwich

  • 4 slices Whole wheat bread lightly toasted
  • 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
  • 2 TBSP Yellow mustard
  • 6 leaves Romaine lettuce cut to fit the bread
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz Deli turkey breast
  • 1 Avocado pitted and sliced
  • 2 oz Potato chips
  • 2 Pickle spears

Instructions

  • In a small pot, combine 1 cup of water and the dried lavender flowers. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the mixture to remove the lavender flowers. Refrigerate to cool.
  • Toast the whole wheat bread. Spread mayo and mustard on one side of each slice of the bread.
  • Layer with lettuce, tomato, seasoned with salt and pepper, turkey, and avocado.
  • In a pitcher, mix together the lavender-infused water, remaining water, lemon juice, and sugar to taste. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, adjusting sweetness to taste. Serve the lavender lemonade over ice.
  • Cut the sandwich into half. Serve with chips, pickle, and lavendar lemonade.
