Ingredients

Whipped Cream and Strawberries

  • ½ cup Heavy cream
  • 1 TBSP Powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Strawberries sliced

Belgian Waffles

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 TBSP Sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • Nonstick spray or butter

Maple Syrup

  • ¼ Maple syrup (for serving)

Milk

  • 16 oz Milk

Instructions

  • Prepare the Whipped Cream: In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Using an electric mixer or whisk, beat the mixture until soft peaks form. Set aside in the refrigerator to keep cool.
  • Prepare the Belgian Waffle Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Preheat and Cook the Waffles: Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
  • Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron (amount will vary depending on the size of your iron). Close the iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions or until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  • Top each waffle with a generous dollop of whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
  • Serve with maple syrup on the side and milk.
