Ingredients

Mocha

  • 1 cup Coffee
  • 2 tsp Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Whipped cream optional
  • Your choice of sweetener optional

Pears

  • 2 Pears ripe, washed and sliced

Bagel

  • 2 Your choice of bagel halved and toasted
  • 6 TBSP Whipped cream cheese
  • 6 oz Lox (smoked salmon) cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tsp Capers
  • 1 TBSP Fresh dill
  • 2 TBSP Red onion minced

Instructions

  • Brew your favorite coffee using your preferred method.
  • In a small saucepan, heat milk over medium low heat until warmed; mix in cocoa powder until dissolved. Remove from heat.
  • Prep the ingredients per the instructions above.
  • Wash and slice the pears. Place in serving bowls.
  • Toast the bagel in a toaster oven.
  • Spread the bagel with cream cheese. Top with salmon, capers, dill, and onion.
  • Add the milk/cocoa mixture to the coffee. Add sweetener if desired. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  • Enjoy the bagel with the hot mocha and fresh sliced pears.
