Ingredients
Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers
- 1 oz Cream cheese softened
- 1/8 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/3 TBSP Fresh chives finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 TBSP Butter melted
- 2 Jalapeño peppers sliced in half lengthwise and seeded
Hot Roast Beef Sandwich
- 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 1 TBSP Brown mustard
- 1/2 TBSP Poppy seeds (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 TBSP Onion grated with a box grater
- 1/2 tsp Horseradish
- dash Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Hamburger buns sliced in half
- 2 slices Provolone cheese
- 8 oz Deli roast beef thinly shaved
- 2 slices American cheese
Lemon Sparkling Water
- 24 oz Sparkling water
- 1 Lemon sliced
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
- Make the Jalapeño Poppers: In a bowl mix cream cheese, garlic powder, cheddar cheese, and chives. In a separate bowl, combine Panko crumbs and melted butter. Fill jalapeños with the cheese mixture. Top with crumbs to coat well.
- Cook the Jalapeño Poppers: Place on a baking pan and bake for 18 - 22 minutes or until golden. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C).
- Mix together the mayo, mustard, poppy seeds, grated onion, horseradish, and Worcestershire. Taste the dressing and adjust the ingredients however you wish.
- To assemble, spread the sauce inside the top and bottom of each bun. On the bottom bun, layer provolone, roast beef, and American cheese, and place the top bun on top. Repeat for remaining portions.
- Wrap each sandwich in aluminum foil, and put them on a baking sheet in the oven until the buns are slightly crusty and the cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
- Mix the sparkling water and lemon. Serve over ice if desired.
- Serve the hot roast beef sandwiches alongside jalapeño poppers and sparkling water.
