Ingredients

Biscuits and Gravy

  • 2 Biscuits Store-bought
  • 6 oz Ground sausage
  • 2 TBSP All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Milk

Seasoning

  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Eggs

  • 2 tsp Butter or cooking oil
  • 4 Eggs

Orange Juice

  • 16 oz Orange juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the biscuit package. Bake the biscuits as directed.
  • While the biscuits are baking, prepare the gravy. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
  • Sprinkle the cooked sausage with flour and stir well to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.
  • Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • While the gravy is simmering, prepare the eggs. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your liking (i.e. scrambled, fried, or sunny side up). Season with salt and pepper.
  • Once the biscuits are done baking, split them in half horizontally and place them on serving plates.
  • Spoon the hot sausage gravy over the biscuits.
  • Serve with eggs and orange juice.
