Ingredients
French Fries
- 2 medium Potatoes peeled and cut into ¼ inch thick sticks (about ½ lb of potato per portion)
- 4 TBSP Ketchup
Coney Dogs with Onion
- 2 Hot dog buns
- 1 TBSP Vegetable oil
- 4 All beef hot dogs
- 1 cup Onion finely chopped
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 8 oz Ground beef
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- ½ tsp Ground cumin
- ¼ tsp Paprika
- ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- ½ cup Ketchup
- ¼ cup Yellow mustard
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Lemon Sparkling Water
- 24 oz Sparkling water
- 1 Lemon sliced
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prep Ingredients: Peel and cut the potatoes into ¼ inch thick sticks, then soak them in cold water for 10 minutes.
- Air Fry the Fries: Preheat the air fryer. Place the fries in the air fryer basket and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions (approximately 20 minutes). Ensure fries are cooked to a crispy texture, and the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C) for optimal doneness.
- Prepare the Coney Dogs: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the hot dogs and cook until browned on all sides. Ensure the hot dogs are heated to 165°F (74°C) if not pre-cooked. Remove and set them aside.
- Sauté Onions and Garlic: In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions become translucent.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Push the onions and garlic to the side of the skillet. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula. Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook the ground beef until it reaches an internal temperature of at least 160°F (71°C).
- Make the Sauce: Add ketchup and yellow mustard to the beef mixture. Stir to combine, and season with salt and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prepare Lemon Sparkling Water: Mix the sparkling water with lemon slices and serve over ice.
- Assemble the Coney Dogs: Place each cooked hot dog in a warm bun, spoon a generous amount of chili sauce over each, and serve with fries and lemon sparkling water.
