Ingredients

Grilled Burger

  • 8 oz Ground beef
  • 1/2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
  • 2 slices Your choice of cheese
  • 4 leaves Butter lettuce
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 2 slices Red onion thinly sliced

Sauce

  • 1 TBSP Ketchup
  • 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
  • 1 TBSP Mustard

Carrots and Hummus

  • 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or baby carrots)
  • 1/2 cup Hummus

Mango Lassi

  • 1 cup Frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup Plain yogurt
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cardamom
  • 1 TBSP Maple syrup (to taste)

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients as described in the list above.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Form into equal-sized burger patties.
  • Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill each patty for about 3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook until the desired doneness is reached.
  • Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt as the burger finishes cooking.
  • Toast the hamburger buns, cut side down, on the grill until golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard until combined. Set aside.
  • To assemble the burgers: Spread the sauce on the buns. Layer the bottom half of each bun with butter lettuce, tomato slices, a grilled beef patty, and red onion. Top with the remaining bun halves.
  • For the mango lassi: In a blender, combine frozen mango, yogurt, milk, cardamom, and sugar. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  • Serve the grilled cheeseburgers with carrots and hummus on the side, and enjoy with a refreshing mango lassi.
