Ingredients
Grilled Burger
- 8 oz Ground beef
- 1/2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 2 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
- 2 slices Your choice of cheese
- 4 leaves Butter lettuce
- 4 slices Tomato
- 2 slices Red onion thinly sliced
Sauce
- 2 TBSP Ketchup
- 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 1 TBSP Mustard
Carrots and Hummus
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or baby carrots)
- 1/2 cup Hummus
Mango Lassi
- 1 cup Frozen mango
- 1/4 cup Plain yogurt
- 3 cups Milk
- 1/4 tsp Ground cardamom
- 1 TBSP Sugar (or to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as described in the list above.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Form into equal-sized burger patties.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill each patty for about 3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook until the desired doneness is reached.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt as the burger finishes cooking.
- Toast the hamburger buns, cut side down, on the grill until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard until combined. Set aside.
- To assemble the burgers: Spread the sauce on the buns. Layer the bottom half of each bun with butter lettuce, tomato slices, a grilled beef patty, and red onion. Top with the remaining bun halves.
- For the mango lassi: In a blender, combine frozen mango, yogurt, milk, cardamom, and sugar. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
- Serve the grilled cheeseburgers with carrots and hummus on the side, and enjoy with a refreshing mango lassi.
