Prepare all ingredients as described in the list above.
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Form into equal-sized burger patties.
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill each patty for about 3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook until the desired doneness is reached.
Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt as the burger finishes cooking.
Toast the hamburger buns, cut side down, on the grill until golden brown.
