Ingredients
Cheeseburger
- 8 oz Ground beef
- ½ TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 TBSP Ketchup
- 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 2 slices Your choice of cheese
- 2 Whole wheat bun lightly toasted
- 4 leaves Butter lettuce
- 4 slices Tomato
- 2 slices Red onion thinly sliced
Carrots & Hummus
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks
- ½ cup Hummus
Lemon Chia Sparkling Water
- 24 oz Sparkling water cold
- 1 Lemon sliced
- 2 tsp Chia seeds
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as listed.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, then form into patties.
- In a bowl, mix the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard until smooth. Set aside.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties to your desired doneness, flipping once halfway through. During the final minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns cut side down in the skillet or on the grill until lightly golden.
- Assemble the cheeseburgers by spreading the sauce on the inside of the buns. Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, burger patty, red onion, and the top bun.
- Combine the sparkling water, lemon slices, and chia seeds. Stir well, let sit briefly, then stir again to prevent clumping.
- Serve the cheeseburgers with carrots and hummus, and lemon chia sparkling water.
