Carolina Style Angus Burger

Ingredients

Burgers

  • 8 oz Ground beef black angus beef recommended
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 TBSP Heinz Carolina Vinegar-Style Tangy BBQ Sauce (for the burger mix)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese (for melting on the burgers)
  • 2 Hamburger buns
  • 1 cup Romaine lettuce

Carrots and Ranch

  • ½ cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or use baby carrots)
  • ½ cup Ranch dressing

Mango Lassi

  • cups frozen Mango chopped
  • ¾ cup Plain Yogurt
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • 1 TBSP Sugar to taste
  • ¼ tsp Ground cardamom

Instructions

  • Make the Burgers: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Heinz Carolina Vinegar-Style Tangy BBQ Sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until fully combined.
  • Form the mixture into patties.
  • Heat a pan or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties on both sides to your desired temperature (see below). Melt the cheese over top.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a pan until golden brown.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce and a burger patty on the bottom half of the bun and drizzle additional Heinz BBQ Carolina Vinegar Style Tangy on top. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  • Make the Mango Lassi: In a blender, combine the chopped frozen mango, yogurt, milk, cardamom powder, and sugar. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Serve the burgers with carrot sticks and ranch dressing and mango lassi.
