Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Relish
- 1 tsp Lemon zest
- 4 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 lb Tilapia filets
- 4 Texas toast lightly toasted (or your choice of bread)
- 8 leaves Romaine lettuce
- 12 slices Tomato
- 4 Pickles halved
- 4 oz Potato chips
Instructions
- In a bowl mix the mayo, relish, lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a saute pan on low medium heat with the oil.
- Set up a bowl with the flour, a bowl with eggs, and In another bowl mix the paprika, breadcrumbs seasoned with salt.
- Coat the tilapia with flour, then dip into the egg, and then coat well with breadcrumbs.
- Fry the breaded tilapia on both sides to golden brown to an internal temperature of 140 degrees using a thermometer, about 10 minutes. (Time will vary based on your fish fillet thickness).
- Lightly toast the bread. Layer with lettuce, tomato seasoned with salt and pepper, and breaded fish. Top with tartar sauce.
- Cut in half and serve with pickles and chips.
