Ingredients
Cheeseburgers
- 8 oz Ground beef
- ½ TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 Hamburger buns lightly toasted
- 2 slices Your choice of cheese optional
- 4 leaves Butter lettuce
- 4 slices Tomato
- 2 slices Red onion thinly sliced
Sauce
- 2 TBSP Ketchup
- 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 1 TBSP Mustard
Carrots & Hummus
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or baby carrots)
- ½ cup Hummus
Lemon Sparkling Water with Chia Seeds
- 24 oz Sparkling water cold
- 1 Lemon sliced
- 2 tsp Chia seeds
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as listed.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until just combined, then form into equal-sized burger patties.
- In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard until smooth and fully combined, then set aside.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and cook the burger patties for about 3 minutes on the first side, then flip and continue cooking to your liking.
- If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the final minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
- If desired, toast the hamburger buns cut side-down in the pan or on the grill until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the buns, then layering the bottom bun with butter lettuce, tomato slices, beef patty, red onion, and the top bun.
- Combine the sparkling water, lemon slices and chia seeds. Stir thoroughly, let sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
- Serve the cheeseburgers alongside the carrots and hummus, and lemon chia sparkling water.
