Prepare all ingredients as listed.
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until just combined, then form into equal-sized burger patties.
In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard until smooth and fully combined, then set aside.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and cook the burger patties for about 3 minutes on the first side, then flip and continue cooking to your liking.
If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the final minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
If desired, toast the hamburger buns cut side-down in the pan or on the grill until lightly golden.
Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the buns, then layering the bottom bun with butter lettuce, tomato slices, beef patty, red onion, and the top bun.
Combine the sparkling water, lemon slices and chia seeds. Stir thoroughly, let sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
Serve the cheeseburgers alongside the carrots and hummus, and lemon chia sparkling water.
