Ingredients
Sandwich
- 4 slices Bacon
- 4 slices Your choice of bread lightly toasted
- 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 6 leaves Romaine lettuce cut to fit the bread
- 4 slices Tomato
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 6 oz Deli turkey breast
- 1 Avocado pitted and sliced
Sides
- ½ cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or use baby carrots)
- ½ cup Hummus
Sparkling Chia Fresca
- ½ cup Lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 2 TBSP Maple syrup or honey
- ½ tsp Chia seeds
- 16 oz Sparkling water
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as described above.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon on both sides until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread to your preferred level of crispness.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.
- Build each Sandwich: place one slice of bread (condiment side up), layer lettuce, tomato, turkey, bacon, and avocado, then top with the second slice of bread (condiment side down). Cut in half.
- Combine all the ingredients for the chia frecsa. Stir well and let sit for 5 minutes to allow the chia seeds to bloom.
- Serve the sandwich with carrots, hummus, and sparkling chia fresca.
