Ingredients
French Toast Sticks
- 2 Eggs beaten
- ½ cup Milk
- ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 TBSP Granulated sugar
- 4 slices Your choice of bread preferably thick cut and a day-old or slightly stale
- 2 TBSP Butter for cooking
Maple Syrup Dip
- ¼ cup Maple syrup for serving
Milk
- 16 oz Milk cold
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as listed above.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until well combined to make the dipping mixture.
- Cut each slice of bread into sticks about ½ inch wide to create the French toast sticks.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add half the butter and let it melt to coat the pan.
- Dip each breadstick into the egg mixture, coating fully, and let excess drip off.
- Place coated breadsticks in the hot skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Add more butter as needed for remaining sticks.
- Serve the French toast sticks with maple syrup and milk. Enjoy your breakfast!
