Ingredients

French Toast Sticks

  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 TBSP Granulated sugar
  • 4 slices Your choice of bread preferably thick cut and a day-old or slightly stale
  • 2 TBSP Butter for cooking

Maple Syrup Dip

  • ¼ cup Maple syrup for serving

Milk

  • 16 oz Milk cold

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients as listed above.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until well combined to make the dipping mixture.
  • Cut each slice of bread into sticks about ½ inch wide to create the French toast sticks.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add half the butter and let it melt to coat the pan.
  • Dip each breadstick into the egg mixture, coating fully, and let excess drip off.
  • Place coated breadsticks in the hot skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Add more butter as needed for remaining sticks.
  • Serve the French toast sticks with maple syrup and milk. Enjoy your breakfast!
