Ingredients

Sandwich

  • 1/4 head Iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices Sourdough bread
  • 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
  • 6 oz Deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Sides

  • 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks or use baby carrots
  • 1/2 cup Hummus
  • 2 Pickle spears

Homemade Lemonade

  • 1 cup Lemon juice fresh squeezed
  • 16 oz Water
  • 2 TBSP Sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  • Toast the bread.
  • Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
  • Layer with iceberg lettuce, deli turkey breast , and American cheese.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayo-side down. Press gently to secure the sandwich and slice in half.
  • In a pitcher, combine fresh-squeezed lemon juice, water, and sugar to taste. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add ice if desired.
  • Plate the sandwiches and serve alongside the carrots, hummus, pickle spears, and a glass of fresh lemonade.
