Ingredients
Sandwich
- 1/4 head Iceberg lettuce leaves
- 4 slices Sourdough bread
- 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 6 oz Deli turkey breast
- 4 slices American cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Sides
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks or use baby carrots
- 1/2 cup Hummus
- 2 Pickle spears
Homemade Lemonade
- 1 cup Lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 16 oz Water
- 2 TBSP Sugar to taste
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Toast the bread.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
- Layer with iceberg lettuce, deli turkey breast , and American cheese.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayo-side down. Press gently to secure the sandwich and slice in half.
- In a pitcher, combine fresh-squeezed lemon juice, water, and sugar to taste. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add ice if desired.
- Plate the sandwiches and serve alongside the carrots, hummus, pickle spears, and a glass of fresh lemonade.
