Turkey Cheese Sandwich

Sandwich
- 1/4 head Iceberg lettuce leaves
- 4 slices Sourdough bread
- 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 6 oz Deli turkey breast
- 4 slices American cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Sides
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks or use baby carrots
- 1/2 cup Hummus
- 2 Pickle spears
Homemade Lemonade
- 1 cup Lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 16 oz Water
- 2 TBSP Sugar to taste
- Ice cubes (optional)
Toast the bread.
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
Layer with iceberg lettuce, deli turkey breast , and American cheese.
Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayo-side down. Press gently to secure the sandwich and slice in half.
In a pitcher, combine fresh-squeezed lemon juice, water, and sugar to taste. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add ice if desired.
Plate the sandwiches and serve alongside the carrots, hummus, pickle spears, and a glass of fresh lemonade.
